As if plain ol’ sweet potato pie isn’t good all by itself, what dessert isn’t made better with the addition of coconut and pecans?

3 medium sweet potatoes

1 (9-inch) Pie Crust Dough

1/2 cup unsalted butter, room temperature

1/2 cup light brown sugar

3 large eggs, room temperature

1/2 teaspoon nutmeg

1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

1/2 teaspoon cardamom

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/4 teaspoon kosher salt

1/2 cup heavy cream, room temperature

1/2 cup sweetened flaked coconut

1/2 cup chopped pecans
